hi, it's abbie again (aka abbie doo, abbie doozal... & doozal bug).
Hi, I’m Abbie Simon, a multidisciplinary designer based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with a love for blending creativity, research, and strategy.
I work as both a Product Designer and Graphic Designer, creating experiences that are visually engaging and grounded in empathy. I studied Studio Art (Graphic Design) at the University of Arkansas, with minors in Psychology and Art History—fields that deepened my understanding of human behavior and visual storytelling.
My background in both visual design and behavioral research shapes how I approach every project: curious, creative, and always guided by human needs. Whether I’m building out a brand system or designing a digital product, I care deeply about work that feels good, functions well, and makes an impact.
a bit more about me...
I’ve built a well-rounded design practice through in-house roles, internships, and freelance work—spanning product, brand, and visual design.
I’m currently a Product Designer at a travel startup, where I own the design of a group trip planning app from concept through delivery, collaborating with product, engineering, and dev-ops in an agile environment. I also work as a Graphic Designer at Stride/K12, creating brand-aligned visuals across paid media, social, email, and UX/UI—closely partnering with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Previously, I spent two years as a Visual + Graphic Designer at Art Feeds, where I led content creation and photo styling for curriculum, merchandise, and fundraising campaigns. I completed a summer internship with MoneyGram International’s UX team, helping reposition the U.S. web domain into a financial services destination.
On the side, I’ve been a freelance creative for 3+ years—designing brands, products, and illustrations for a range of clients. Most recently, I wrapped a brand guide for a new creative agency and am currently illustrating three children’s books.
additionally,
When I'm not on my computer, you can find me hiking, drawing, painting, training for a half marathon, eating at Velvet Taco, or lounging with my rescue dog, Goose, watching movies (Top Gun is a fan favorite in our house). I'm excited about the future and the opportunity to continue growing as a designer. If you want to learn more about my work and experiences, check out my resume or get in touch!
